BMW iX3 Range: The Tire-Package Difference
Electric SUV
Updated October 17, 2026
The 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive’s 434-mile headline belongs to an optional 20-inch summer-tire configuration. BMW’s U.S. announcement lists 383 miles for the standard 20-inch all-season package.

Compare the actual tire package
| Wheel and tire package | Range, miles | Combined MPGe |
|---|---|---|
| 20-inch summer | 434 | 118 |
| 20-inch all-season, standard | 383 | 102 |
BMW lists $61,500 base MSRP plus $1,350 destination and handling: $62,850 before options.
Peak power is not the average charging rate
BMW also advertises up to 400 kW DC charging. A peak capability does not describe a maintained session average.
The Department of Energy’s charging guidance identifies battery state of charge, capacity and type, the vehicle’s charger and the charging equipment as factors affecting time. A station’s advertised output and a car’s acceptance limit answer different questions.
Look for the battery percentages at the start and finish of a quoted interval, together with the equipment and conditions used. Do not substitute a charger’s largest printed rating for that interval or read a range estimate as a promised distance between stops.
Our charger-rating explainer separates equipment ceilings from the average rate across a stop. It also shows why the vehicle and the intended charging location both belong in a useful comparison.
