2026 Kia EV6 Prices: MSRP, Destination and Range

EV prices and ownership

Kia’s official 2026 EV6 pricing starts at $37,900 before destination, a $5,000 reduction from the 2025 Light model’s starting MSRP. Once the two model years’ different destination charges are included, the starting-price reduction is $4,930. That distinction matters when comparing the two published prices before options and other charges.

The lower starting price does not make every EV6 configuration equivalent. Battery, driven wheels, equipment and range still change across the lineup. A useful comparison begins with the specific version, rather than applying the base model’s price or range to every EV6.

2026 EV6 prices with destination included

Kia’s May 4, 2026 pricing announcement lists seven configurations and a $1,545 destination charge. The totals below add that charge to MSRP; they exclude taxes, title, license, options and dealer charges.

Published U.S. 2026 EV6 starting prices; taxes and other charges are separate.
2026 configuration MSRP MSRP plus $1,545 destination
Light, standard-range RWD $37,900 $39,445
Light Long Range RWD $41,200 $42,745
Light Long Range AWD $45,200 $46,745
Wind RWD $44,800 $46,345
Wind AWD $48,800 $50,345
GT-Line RWD $48,700 $50,245
GT-Line AWD $53,000 $54,545

These are manufacturer list prices, rather than quotes, discounts or an assertion that a particular vehicle is in stock. Keeping the MSRP-plus-destination total separate from an actual selling price makes incentives and dealer adjustments easier to identify.

Why the base difference is $4,930 with destination

Kia’s April 21, 2025 announcement priced the previous model year’s Light at $42,900, with $1,475 destination. That produced a $44,375 starting total before the other charges. Subtracting the 2026 total of $39,445 gives $4,930: the $5,000 MSRP decrease is partly offset by a $70 destination increase.

That calculation describes the two published starting prices. It does not mean every remaining 2025 vehicle sells for its original MSRP, or that a used example has lost the same amount of value. An actual comparison needs the asking price and equipment of each car. Kia also says the Light Long Range Technology Package was deleted for 2026, so a trim badge alone does not establish identical equipment between years.

Kia EV6 announced U.S. base prices: 2025 Light MSRP $42,900 plus $1,475 destination totals $44,375; 2026 Light SR RWD MSRP $37,900 plus $1,545 totals $39,445, a $4,930 decrease.

Choose the range and drivetrain together

Kia’s current U.S. specifications list an EPA-estimated 237-mile range for the standard-range Light RWD. The long-range RWD versions are listed at 319 miles. The Light Long Range and Wind AWD versions are listed at 295 miles, while the GT-Line AWD is listed at 270.

The lowest price and the longest range therefore belong to different configurations. AWD also should not be treated as a free addition to an otherwise unchanged car: compare its price, equipment and range with the corresponding RWD version. These are standardized estimates; weather, speed, loading and other conditions affect actual distance between charges.

Turn the price into an ownership comparison

Write down where the car would charge during a normal week before assigning a fuel-cost saving. Home electricity and a public fast-charging session need not have the same price. The Department of Energy’s consumer guidance recommends getting home-installation estimates. An existing household outlet should not be assumed to solve every charging requirement.

Also compare insurance and the complete borrowing terms. The difference between a monthly payment and total borrowing cost matters when comparing different model years or loan lengths. Keep charging expenses separate from that loan calculation. A smaller payment can come from a longer repayment period rather than a lower overall cost.

For an older EV6, request its actual equipment list, maintenance information and applicable warranty terms. Keep any battery-condition assessment separate from the original range rating. The published price cut is a useful starting point for a comparison; the individual car and the way it will be charged decide the rest.
