The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition adds a 600-horsepower version of the twin-turbo six-cylinder Charger, with larger turbos, upgraded cooling and a different wheel-and-tire package. It remains a future-model announcement: Dodge’s current product page identifies the car as preproduction and says availability is planned for mid-2027.

Dodge gasoline Charger published output: R/T 420 hp and 468 lb-ft, Scat Pack 550 hp and 531 lb-ft, Super Bee launch 600 hp and 531 lb-ft. Current Super Bee page labels 600 hp targeted and the model preproduction.
Original editorial chart of Dodge manufacturer-published peak gasoline engine figures. Horsepower uses a zero-based axis; torque is a separate numeric lb-ft column. The August 7, 2026 Super Bee launch calls 600 hp SAE-certified, while the current product page calls 600 hp targeted and the model preproduction. What the 600-hp announcement means

Dodge’s August 7, 2026 launch announcement calls the output SAE-certified: 600 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque from a 3.0-liter SIXPACK high-output inline-six. Its 56-millimeter turbochargers are larger than the 54-millimeter units Dodge describes for the Charger Scat Pack.

There is a qualification worth keeping alongside those numbers. The current Super Bee product page describes 600 horsepower as a target. This is manufacturer reporting, not a result from our own road test. The preproduction description also means the displayed car should not be treated as a final equipment list.

Gasoline Charger engine figures published by Dodge
Version Horsepower Torque
SIXPACK standard output, Charger R/T 420 hp 468 lb-ft
SIXPACK high output, Charger Scat Pack 550 hp 531 lb-ft
Super Bee launch announcement 600 hp 531 lb-ft

The useful comparison is with the gasoline Scat Pack. The Super Bee announcement adds 50 horsepower while retaining the same published peak torque. That does not establish identical power delivery: two peak numbers cannot describe an entire engine’s response across its rev range.

Dodge’s separate SIXPACK engineering overview distinguishes the standard-output and high-output six-cylinder engines. The Super Bee extends that gasoline family; it should not be confused with an electric Charger Daytona or assumed to reproduce the engine character of an older V-8 Super Bee.

The hardware beyond the engine

The launch specification pairs all-wheel drive with an eight-speed automatic and selectable rear-wheel drive. It also describes additional cooling for the engine and driveline. These are concrete equipment changes, although their presence alone does not prove a particular lap time or how a production car will behave over repeated track sessions.

The announced tires are 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar 3s on 20-by-11-inch forged wheels at all four corners. That is a square fitment, rather than wider rear tires. Goodyear classifies this tire as a summer performance tire; all-wheel drive does not change the tire’s category.

Dodge also announces 16-inch brake rotors with six-piston front and four-piston rear Brembo calipers. Its product page describes dual-valve adaptive damping and places the Drive eXperience Recorder in an available Track Package. A photograph or launch specification therefore cannot establish that every illustrated feature belongs to every eventual order configuration.

What remains a buying question

The August release deferred pricing, ordering details and production quantities, while the current product page supplies the mid-2027 availability plan. Neither establishes an individual delivery date or an actual transaction price. Before comparing the Super Bee with a Scat Pack, the meaningful missing document is the final equipment-and-price specification for the particular car, including its selected packages and destination charge.
