Subaru’s 2027 Ascent announcement keeps three base MSRPs unchanged and raises Limited and Limited Bronze by $100 each. Premium starts at $40,795 before destination; seating layout and included equipment are the next useful comparisons.

Zero-based stacked bars show five announced 2027 Ascent base MSRPs plus $1,495 destination, producing totals from $42,290 to $53,490.

What “unchanged” actually compares

The change column uses Subaru’s 2026 U.S. trim-comparison document and compares base MSRPs only. Destination, options and any retailer discount belong on separate lines when comparing two actual offers. Keep trim, seating and included equipment beside each price.

Choose the seating layout before the trim finish

Start with the number of seating positions actually needed. The table shows why an eighth position narrows this comparison before upholstery or appearance becomes the deciding factor. A higher trim is not a substitute for a required seating position; the seating layout belongs beside the trim name on the specification being compared.

Subaru’s current 2027 Ascent overview identifies a 260-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged engine and standard all-wheel drive. Those shared headline specifications do not make the five trims identical. In particular, passenger capacity and the equipment included in a quoted configuration remain separate comparisons.

The 2027 changes are small, practical ones

For 2027, Subaru adds an interior-light OFF switch and USB-C charging near the third row; Limited adds an LED rear-gate lamp. Check a port’s stated purpose rather than assuming that its connector shape establishes every supported phone function.

Subaru described summer 2026 arrival in June. That dated launch plan does not establish today’s stock. A current comparison still needs the exact vehicle’s seating layout, equipment and price components, rather than a general promise attached to a model-year headline.
